The Renate Bender Gallery has been representing international artists for many years. Some of them come from the USA or have their main base there. We are taking the Gallery Weekend as an opportunity to show their diverse artistic approaches, which move in the marginal area of Minimal Art and Monochromy.
Promoting and making visible reduced forms of contemporary art has been a central concern of our exhibition activities for decades. This passion connects us with our gallery colleagues in the USA, where friendships have been formed and artists have been discovered reciprocally at numerous art fairs. For many years, we have had the privilege of representing many of them as their main gallery in Europe.
Some of the works shown in the exhibition are being presented here for the last time, before they are carefully packed again and make the journey across the Atlantic, unless, of course, they find a good place on the walls of our collectors.
