Anne Pfeifer was born in 1987 in Lindenfels, Germany and Bernhard Kreutzer in 1986 in Munich, Germany, where both live and work.

Both young artists are fascinated by rhythm and sound. For their work, which falls within the field of kinetic art, they employ moving sound installations and videos. Using a large variety of materials (acrylic glass, fake fur, wood or iron), they create primarily geometric forms in a reduced color spectrum. The highly complex technique is never visible to the viewer. Without prior warning their works begin to move, generating knocking or other sounds. Just as unexpectedly as they began, the performance stops, most often evoking a smile from the viewer.

Anne Pfeifer graduated from the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Munich, Bernhard Kreutzer from the Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen, also in Munich. During their studies they began conceiving and implementing projects together, and since 2019 they decided to present their work under the name "Pfeifer & Kreutzer".
